welcome, winter.

Tomorrow starts the month of December and we are welcoming winter already. Today was very cold and very wet. Tonight, I am enjoying the warm fire my sweet husband built before leaving for work this evening and listening to The Weepies on Pandora. My Ebay sells are going fairly well, but I have so much left to go through.

I can't believe how fast Thanksgiving break went by and I feel like we didn't relish the moments we spent with our family as we should have.

Tomorrow my husband and I will celebrate 4 months of marriage. We're still newlyweds, I know, but it's amazing how much we have learned about each other and ourselves these past 4 months. So, happy anniversary sweetheart. May God bless us with many more months and years to come. <3

Down-sizing

At the advice of a good friend, and my sweet husband, I've decided it is time to start down-sizing my closet. When you're in high school or college, and you're single, it seems like you can never have enough clothes. I have this problem. My husband uses one closet and one small dresser. I have two dressers and I use the better half of his closet and two more closets. I always buy something that I love, and then I never wear it. It's probably safe to say that many of the clothes in my closet still have the tags on them! Granted, many of my clothes DO come from the Goodwill, but it's just easier to rack up there anyway since everything is so cheap! Anyway, the time has come to say goodbye to somethings. This will definitely be a process, and a hard one at that. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute to the family income by selling some things on Ebay. I know my husband will appreciate my willingness to make more room in our home. I pray that my sacrifice is not only pleasing to my husband, but also pleasing to God. This quote from a book called "Stepping Heavenward," (which I HIGHLY recommend to any Christian woman) comes to mind.. "Choose always to have less, rather than more."

The past couple weeks..

Well, here's what's been going on in our life the past couple weeks. We traveled to Charlotte one weekend in late October to visit my family for a Pig Roast.

Next we attended a Harvest Party at one of the family's from our church's farm. I rode a horse for the second time since Young Life camp. (PS-Miss my YL family.) We had a beautiful bonfire and fellowshiped for a good while.

My husband had his vacation the first week of November and what he was most excited about was growing a beard. His job requires that he is clean shaven every day. I love when he has a beard and was excited to see it! We took this picture to commemorate the beard until next time.

So, the past couple of weeks have consisted of spending time with my wonderful husband, working a day here and there, and enjoying Fall.
